ACORN's "Leave No School Behind" Study

On Tuesday, April 15th, ACORN released a study called "Leave No School Behind," documenting the need to protect students, teachers, and schools in the flatlands from proposed budget cuts. The study, done with research support from UCLA's Institute for Democracy, Education, and Access, demonstrates the importance of providing a stable, quality teaching force in OUSD schools with the highest needs.

ACORN and allies will be holding a press conference at 4:30 p.m. at the
area connecting Lockwood Elementary and Havenscourt Middle School, two of
the lowest-performing schools in the district. We would like to invite you
to participate and build a unified response to make sure that "no school
gets left behind" in the face of the impending state takeover and budget
cuts.
